Dr. Taylor Howard
Dr. Taylor Howard obtained her bachelor's degree in psychology from Auburn University in May 2013. She earned her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology in 2017 and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology in 2021 from The University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Taylor also completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the VA Palo Alto with a specialization in trauma psychology in 2022.

Throughout her career, she has primarily worked with military service members and Veterans struggling with mental and behavioral health concerns. She has worked in various clinics across several Veterans Affairs Hospitals, and has also engaged in research of trauma-focused therapies through the National Center for PTSD. Dr. Taylor has primarily acted as a licensed psychologist within PTSD Clinical Teams, assisting Veterans in overcoming combat and military sexual trauma (MST). She is trained in various trauma-informed therapies, and has provided consultation and supervision for mental health and medical staff on the use of trauma-informed care.

Dr. Taylor provides virtual psychotherapy services related to distress following exposure to traumatic events and general mental health concerns to adults. Specifically, she is proficient in the use of trauma-focused therapies including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Written Exposure Therapy. Dr. Taylor also provides assessment and consultation services.

Dr. Taylor is licensed in Mississippi (#621139) and is pursuing additional licensure and PSYPACT® credentialing in the coming months. Please note that Dr. Taylor is unable to see Veterans or current military service members at this time.
